Adding more cuts does not automatically make a video persuasive. Editing should first help the viewer understand one idea and want to discover the next.
Create a clear progression
Before editing, summarise the message in one sentence. Organise the sequences around that intention: a question, an explanation, evidence and a logical next step. Remove what does not contribute.
Give evidence room to breathe
A demonstration or an important explanation sometimes needs time. Good pacing alternates density and space. Captions, sound and graphics should support the message.
Plan for distribution
A VSL, a vertical short and a YouTube video are watched differently. Planning for these contexts before the edit makes it possible to create genuinely useful versions.
